There are two local shops where you will be able to buy basic food roughly 2 to 3 miles away. The closest shop is the community shop in Llanarmon-yn-Ial and can be found in the centre of the village opposite the Church. Opening hours are Mon-Fri 7:30am-5:30pm, Sat 8am-4pm, Sun 9am-2pm. Treuddyn Convenience Store and Post Office is open 7 00 am to 20 00 pm seven days a week. There’s also a small Co-op in Leeswood a little further away which also has a cashpoint machine.
The nearest petrol station is an Applegreen Garage at Pontblyddyn which is 5 miles away. It doubles as a convenience store and has a free cashpoint machine.
The nearest pub is The Rose and Crown in Graianrhyd – 2-minute drive or 10 minutes' walk. This is a basic pub but is very friendly and has a roaring fire. It is renowned for its fantastic food and real Ales (The Rose has been in the CAMRA Good Pub Guide for over 20 years running!). The landlord is Rod.
